Job Description
In-House Developer
This is a U.S.-based skincare technology brand specializing in advanced LED light therapy devices. Clinically backed by dozens of peer-reviewed studies and regulatory approvals, their products target skin concerns such as aging, acne, and recovery with medical-grade effectiveness. They operate through a direct-to-consumer ecommerce model, offering flexible, wearable devices like facial masks, neck treatments, and LED gloves, and have received multiple beauty industry awards for innovation and results.
We are looking to find an in-house developer to partner closely with our Ecommerce Manager in advancing the functionality, performance, and maintainability of our Shopify-based DTC and B2B sites. This role will be foundational in helping modernize our codebase, integrate critical apps, and support conversion-driven ecommerce growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain advanced Shopify storefronts with custom features, scripts, and logic without relying on plug-and-play apps.
- Refactor and optimize legacy, heavily customized, non-Shopify 2.0 themes.
- Audit, clean, and document codebase and theme structure.
- Consolidate templates/sections, replace hard-coded logic with reusable components, and remove inefficient or conflicting code.
- Integrate and troubleshoot key Shopify apps (e.g., Skio, Replo, Klaviyo, Postscript, Okendo).
- Resolve compatibility issues between custom code and third-party apps while maintaining site performance.
- Monitor and improve site performance (speed, CLS, LCP) across devices.
- Implement schema markup, structured data, and accessibility-compliant code.
- Support cross-functional teams (marketing, ecommerce, creative) with responsive front-end development.
- Translate Figma mockups and strategic directions into functional site updates.
