Payroll Manager, Paycom Employment Type: Direct Hire. Work Arrangement: Hybrid – currently 2 days onsite (onsite presence may increase). Salary: $70,000 – $85,000 annually + 10% bonus. About the Role Wheeler Staffing Partners is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical payroll manager to join a growing healthcare organization based in Dallas, TX. This individual contributor role is responsible for processing accurate and timely payroll for approximately 2,000 employees across multiple states. The ideal candidate is hands‑on with Paycom , highly proficient in Excel , and motivated by improving processes and efficiencies within a collaborative HR environment. Key Responsibilities Process multi‑site, multi‑state payroll for approximately 2,000 employees using Paycom . Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including wages, benefits, garnishments, and deductions. Manage payroll updates for new hires, terminations, pay changes, and bonuses. Maintain payroll records and prepare regular reporting for finance and management. Reconcile payroll data and resolve discrepancies efficiently. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws. Support audits by preparing and submitting necessary documentation. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency within payroll operations. Collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams on reporting, forecasting, and data analysis. Provide input on compensation calculations for clinical providers when needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field preferred. 3–5 years of direct payroll experience required. Paycom experience required – must have processed payroll using Paycom (not just HRIS familiarity). Advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and reporting) required. Experience processing multi‑site and multi‑state payroll; California experience preferred. Familiarity with clinical or healthcare payroll highly preferred. Tax and compliance experience a plus. Experience in a Private Equity–backed environment is a strong plus. Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
