Title: Food Science Coordinator

Location: Minneapolis, MN | onsite

Assignment Length: 4 months

Compensation: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour (W2)

About the Role

As a Sensory Facility Operations and Product Testing Support Specialist, you will play a key role in supporting product testing and sensory operations. This includes executing sample preparation, managing test logistics, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute to research events and facility operations that drive product insights.

Responsibilities

• Follow strict protocols for sample preparation, test setup, serving, panelist interaction, test calendar management, and post-test cleanup.
• Support sensory facility operations including setup and cleanup for experiments and evaluations, sample management, and equipment maintenance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment in accordance with prescribed safety procedures and guidelines.
• Provide general support to the broader Product Insights team, including assistance with research events, facility tours, and record-keeping.

Required Qualifications

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational, prioritization, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Physical capability to stand, bend, and move frequently; able to lift and transport light equipment or supplies (10–20 lbs.).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a sensory, scientific, or product development lab, or with taste tests.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent food preparation skills; comfortable and enthusiastic about working with food.
• Food safety certification (e.g., ServSafe) or willingness to obtain certification.
