Finish Color Specialist - Kimball Hospitality, Jasper, IN Join to apply for the Finish Color Specialist - Kimball Hospitality, Jasper, IN role at Kimball International . The ideal candidate will be located near Jasper, IN. The Finish Color Specialist is responsible for developing & ensuring finish colors meet specifications. Responsibilities Produce master & working color panels to correspond to customer request or sample. Assist and advise KH project Managers while they are working with customers to determine best finish options for customer projects (e.g., species, cut, match, sheen, etc.). Owns the retain system. Reviews and updates retains (wet standards) as needed to match color panels. Investigate root cause of finish color issues and work with production personnel and/or supplier to resolve across full supply chain. Develop customer special finish per customer request; maintain color panels, formulas & materials to produce special finish once matched. Verify finish material suppliers’ pour down, spray out & tinting of incoming materials that are not to specification to ensure color consistency. Work with supplier sales tech to make necessary changes and adjustments. Maintain and update all finish write up as colors are approved. Catalogue and maintain information as required in Materials database. Develop or specify finish touch up materials. Keep work space and equipment clean and well organized. Perform proper preventive maintenance as required on any equipment being used. Follow all safety guidelines and use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Support the Vision and Guiding Principles and other policies of Kimball International. Support the Quality system.
