Job Description Join the Utah Department of Corrections as a Correctional Officer and earn a total possible compensation package valued up to $92,298.90 in the first year. We are seeking individuals who can balance compassion with accountability while supervising offenders at the Utah State Correctional Facility and various correctional centers in Salt Lake and Weber counties. Please note that correctional center job locations depend on availability. (This recruitment is not for the Central Utah Correctional Facility - Gunnison). Receive a $6,000 Signing Bonus with a two-year commitment as a Correctional Officer at UDC. This includes a $3,000 bonus upon successful completion of the training academy, and a second $3,000 bonus after one year of employment, contingent on remaining employed within the area of hire during the 18-month probationary period. Initial testing includes a physical fitness test, held on: The first and third Wednesdays of each month at 7 AM or 5 PM, with an additional session on the last Saturday of each month at 7 AM.
