Charter College, an established and growing career college, is expanding its Medical Assistant Program in Salt Lake City, UT. We are seeking talented, enthusiastic, and experienced part-time Medical Assistant instructors to teach in a blended course environment. The blended course environment enables instructors to offer students a greater range of learning avenues, combining face-to-face interaction with web-based technologies. Our faculty has the commitment and drive to help students achieve their dreams. Duties And Responsibilities Participate in student retention efforts and encourage participation of all students. Prepare and provide lecture, laboratory, and clinical instruction according to the required curriculum. Follow current course outlines, objectives, and evaluation mechanisms. Maintain a lesson plan of daily instructional events and monitor student attendance and retention. Process course end grades according to policy and grade assignments in a timely manner. Provide educational assistance to students during office hours or by appointment. Substitute in classes when necessary and advise students on school policies and performance. Maintain professional appearance and communicate with the Program Manager on student-related issues. Ensure that students follow catalog guidelines and attend mandatory meetings. Serve on committees as assigned and perform other duties as required. Job Requirements Current Certification as a Medical Assistant. Two years of experience in the field. Excellent customer service skills. Experience in a blended teaching environment preferred but not required. Compensation Adjunct Instructors - Pay by Course - $1,250.00 for each 5-week course taught.
